“Photographs are memories captured in fractions of a second. Posing for a portrait, for most, is not a natural thing to do. True beauty is caught when relaxed & unaware. Then…‘click click’ … the camera has that fraction of a second, a moment in time, a memory to cherish.”
Hi, I’m Garry. I got my first camera when I was ten years old, a Practika MTL5 35mm SLR (single lens reflex) film camera, now available second hand for about £10.00. A few decades on, after many cameras in-between, I am now the proud owner of a Canon 5D DSLR (digital single lens reflex) full frame professional camera. Many people who saw my photographs encouraged me to turn my hobby into a profession. I began to receive commissions for portraits, theatrical events and other commercial work, and have been working free-lance as a photographer since 2005.Photography has inspired me throughout my life, from admiring other peoples photographs to loving the 1000’s of photos I have taken of the people I love, especially Henry & Oliver my 2 sons. My photography style is relaxed and unobtrusive; I am always looking for the natural shot to capture the subject as they really are.
